Labor Day weekend is a missed-call landmine

Three-day weekends create a 4-day catch-up queue. Tuesday morning is a tsunami.

Long weekends are not low-volume - they are deferred-volume. Saturday, Sunday, Monday produce a queue of calls that all hit the office Tuesday at 8am. A normal-size staff drowns. Half the calls go to voicemail in the first hour back.

The fix is to answer the calls live as they come in over the weekend, even if booking happens Tuesday. That way the customer is already in the queue and not dialing your competitor.
