When the AC calls hit, the bottleneck is not techs. It is the phone answering the intake.
Every HVAC shop knows the first 95+ degree week is coming. Few plan for it on the phone side. The CSR who normally handles 40 calls a day is suddenly handling 120 and missing a third.
The cheapest capacity expansion is not another CSR. It is letting the AI handle the routine intake (name, address, system age, what is it doing) so the human can spend her time on the decisions that need her - which slot, which tech, which customer to escalate.
