"This mailbox has not been set up" is a brand event

If your business voicemail still plays the carrier default, your callers think your business is closed for good.

We hear this all the time during onboarding. A shop bought a new number six months ago, forwarded the old one, and never recorded a greeting on the new mailbox. The carrier default plays. The caller hangs up convinced the business is defunct.

Three small fixes if you are not ready for a full AI answering setup: record a greeting that names the business, mention business hours, and give an alternate contact for emergencies. Then check the box weekly and empty it.
