"Tried calling three times, no answer": the silent review killer
A scan of 18,000 one and two-star reviews of trades businesses turned up one phrase over and over.
We scraped 18,000 Google reviews of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and roofing businesses rated three stars or lower. After filtering out the noise, one cluster of phrases dominated: "no one answered," "left a message and never heard back," "tried calling three times."
Roughly one in four negative reviews mentioned phone responsiveness directly. Many of those reviews came from people who had never been a customer. They reviewed your business based entirely on how the phone behaved.
You cannot fix this with a better-trained CSR. You fix it by making sure the phone is always answered.
